News from the Primary Coordinator

Dear Sirius College family,

I am excited and honoured to welcome each and every one of you to the beginning of a new school year at Sirius College.

I have been with the Sirius College family for over 8 years now, and during this time, I have experienced a lot of personal and professional growth. This year, I am honoured to be given the new role of Primary Coordinator, one which I aim to fulfil with utmost care and respect.

A note to our students:

In 2019, make the most of the fantastic educational opportunities that you have here at our college. Take ownership of your actions. Be a positive student. Look out for your friends. Be friendly to everyone. Take responsibility. But, above all, always know that WE care for you and YOU are valued. We want to be one big happy family, and continue to succeed academically but more importantly, in our social and emotional ethics. A kind reminder that, we have a Zero tolerance to Bullying! This is our goal as the year at Sirius College commences. Let's continue to work together to help each other to be our best for the world!

No Hat No Play

Please remember that we are a Sunsmart school and ALL students must wear their hats during Term 1 and Term 4. We encourage all families to apply some sunscreen before school.

Better Buddies

As part of our Better Buddies program, the foundation students will have a buddy from Year 6. The program is an initiative to create friendly and caring primary school communities. Better Buddies enables younger children to feel safe and cared for while older children feel valued and respected. If you have any queries, please feel free to make an appointment with your child's classroom teacher. I am also available for any further clarification if required.

I am enthusiastic about having a fantastic team of teachers, staff members and students to work and succeed with. I wish everyone an amazing 2019!
